Inauguration of Dubai Metro
Dubai Metro was inaugurated By Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Muhammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum on Spetember 9, 2009 (09.09.09) at 9.00 pm on a festive mood! The first train started from Mall of Emirates Station!

Directional Sings on Dubai Roads
Directional signs on Dubai road have been like the ones given below which show the name of places that the road leads to.
Now RTA is replacing these directional sings with like the ones given below which show the other roads that the road leads to.
I don't think it is good idea to replace the existing signs that people are familiar with. They could keep additional directional sings to show the direction to other roads like one below.
